Mitchell State Park
William Mitchell State Park is a popular camping, fishing and boating destination. The 334-acre park is situated between Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac and provides an excellent opportunity to view a variety of wildlife on the outskirts of Cadillac. The park was officially dedicated in 1919. A historic canal connects the two lakes and runs directly through the park. Due to a planned park enhancement project to replace the campground bathroom building and campground roads, the campground will temporarily close. A tentative opening date is scheduled for July 1, 2023. (updated 11/1/22)
