Mackinac Island and Fort Mackinac Historic Park

This 1,800-acre island in Lake Michigan recreates life in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Bikers, walkers and equestrians enjoy the island's natural and cultural resources without motor vehicles. Built in 1780, Fort Mackinac is Michigan's only revolutionary war-era fort.
